Three Distinct Grades of Tailoring to Fit Every Client's Needs

Part of the beauty of becoming a John H. Daniel retailer is the enormous flexibility and variety of custom garments we tailor. There is no other shop in the world that offers the range of styling and tailoring depth that is found in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Under the direction of Master Tailor Angelo Falco, John H. Daniel produces three very distinct grades of workmanship. From an opening price point made-to-measure suit to our Sovereign bench grade suit, we enable you, the retailer, to offer a fit, style and quality for virtually every taste level.

One of the benefits you enjoy is the a la carte menu John H. Daniel offers on every garment. Unlike most manufacturers who pair limited styling options with each grade of tailoring, John H. Daniel offers you the freedom to choose from all options for all grades of tailoring.  Any garment can be dressed up or dressed down depending on your client’s taste and budget.

THE BARON GRADE
The Baron Grade of tailoring is a John H. Daniel hallmark. The industry standard for made-to-measure, the Baron Grade is the leader in fused technology. Utilizing exclusive non-woven fusibles from Kannegeiser of Germany, the Baron Grade is the best value in tailored clothing today.

Soft Fused Construction
The best gets better! John H. Daniel helped pioneer soft fused technology. Light, lofty, and buttery to the hand, John H. Daniel’s new soft fused Baron jackets are a marvel to your clients. Specifically designed for use on lightweight finer cloths, our soft fused construction gives both stability and a soft gentle roll to the lapel.

Each Baron Grade garment is individually designed on our custom CAD system for each client. The Baron is computer cut and machine sewn to your specifications. Hailed as one of the best buys in the industry, the Baron Grade is a tremendous value for your retail mix.

THE MONARCH GRADE
The finest in hand-basted canvas fronts, combined with advanced pattern and cutting technology makes the Monarch Grade an excellent bridge garment. Computer cut and featuring our extraordinary full canvas fronts, this garment fills the bill for the client who demands a full canvas garment, but still wants value and performance.

THE SOVEREIGN GRADE
When only the best will do – experience the Sovereign Grade from John H. Daniel. Individually cut and sewn by only a handful of master tailors, the Sovereign garment is a work of art unto itself. All interlinings, canvas, and buttons are imported directly from Italy. Our exclusive Italian Paloma goat hair canvas creates a soft drape and molds to your client’s body the longer it is worn. Padded by hand it features over 300 stitches per side to secure it to the shell cloth.

All shoulders are draped by hand on individual bucks prior to sewing, to ensure a true custom fit. Hand-crafted armholes, combined with a true leaf-turned collar creates a fit only found in hand tailoring.

Hand-sewn button holes are the hallmark of the Sovereign suit. Each jacket also comes lavishly appointed with additional hand work including the hand lapel hole with its own boutonniere loop – a detail rarely found outside the Italian Peninsula.

Experience the Sovereign for yourself – you’ll be glad you did.
